In the heart of Oslo you can find Kjernekraft Yoga & Pilates studio - a unique studio that offers a wide selection of different style when it comes to yoga and pilates. Kjernekraft opened up the doors in February 2019, "We keep a high level on the instructors and we want to offer our members a whole experience at Kjernekraft with a wide range of classes but also one to one training and treatments with naprapaths and accupuncture. Our biggest goal is to work as close with the clients as possible and be hands on in any situation" explains Silje. 

Casall has been eager to find a great location in Oslo for a long time and when we started our partnership with Kjernekraft it was the perfect place to open up a Pop-up Store. Come in and find our latest yoga clothes and tools!

WHAT’S YOUR STORY?

I have been in the fitness industry since 2004 working mainly with all kinds of different group training but also one to one as a personal trainer. I am a part owner in a big multisport center in Oslo called Myrens Trening Center and I also work in the administration at Kjernekraft Yoga & Pilates. My big passion in life is group training and I love to teach both cardio classes with pumping music but also more soft classes with a more holistic philosophy. In the last four years yoga has been very important to me, and it has become one of my most important tools to deal with stress and other challenges in life. Yoga makes me feel happy and good everytime!

IS YOGA FOR EVERYONE?

"Yes! And please try it at least five times before you make up your mind! Believe it or not but I hated yoga the first times I tried it and it took me a really long time to actually figure it out… I strongly recommend you to test out a few different styles of yoga, and also different instructors. If you are patient enough and explore what is out there I am very sure most people will find a yoga that suits them."

HOW DO YOU OBTAIN BALANCE IN YOUR LIFE?

"I am a person who easily gets triggered by new projects and exiting challenges. There is always action, we are always moving forward and I love to be a part of that.  I have figured out the last years while trying to juggle a family on top of a career that I also strongly need some calmness in my life. I need to balance out some of that yang activity with rest and peace. I therefor try to intergrate room for silence and restitution and I try to make as little plans as possible when I have weekends of. Relaxing weekends spent with my family is what creates the balance in my life at the moment.  When it comes to food  and eating habits I mostly eat colorful food that makes my body happy but I also like to mix it up and dig in on ice cream and chocolate on the weekends. Now that is also balance for me!"

YOUR BEST TIPS TO GET STARTED WITH YOGA?

"Go in there and be open minded! Start slow and remember to enjoy the journey. Get to know your breath properly and remember that your breath leads you. Trust the process!"
