What is your best yoga tips?
Use each yoga class to know yourself better. Much of today's yoga focuses on aesthetics but yoga isn't about how you look it is about how you feel. It is a time to drop any notion of rushing, achieving or being any particular way. A time to connect with ones self. If we ignore the body's signals it can lead to injury. If we listen, we gain a deeper connection and the body usually responds with relaxing further into the posture. As we show ourselves more compassion then it is easier to spread this to others. Inner evolution for an outer revolution.
Why do you practice yoga?
Yoga is truly a holistic system to wellness. It works with the physical, mental and emotional aspects of being a human. All these things are inter related but the mental and emotional side often get neglected in Western culture. Yoga has the obvious physical benefits but it is much more than just a physical practice. Yoga teaches a way to accept the wave of what is happening without falling into a wave of this shouldn't be happening to me. Finding the courage to change things that can be changed and accepting things that can't is a liberating way to live.

Yoga is absolutely for everyone! No matter what age or physical condition. There are numerous studies showing the benefits on yoga related to the physical body and of meditation to the brain. Studies have even showed Yoga not only helping but reversing illness such as heart disease and osteoporosis. Often people say they are too inflexible to start yoga, but this is similar to saying 'I'm too dirty to take a shower.'
