What drives you?
Putting a smile on as many faces as possible, making everyone at my studios feel at home, having laughs in class and letting everyone go home satisfied, like after a good meal, just lighter – in heart and mind.
What’s next in training?
More time for my own training would be nice.
What makes you happy?
Spending time with my family, especially with my little daughter. I love going for walks with her in the park. She makes me forget everything around me and teaches me to be in the moment.
How do you create balance in your life?
Honest answer? Still searching for the best way to balance my life. I realize how important it is to have as many moments as I can to clear my head, to think of nothing and to be totally in the now. I have so many different projects going on besides my studios and being a fulltime mom. Having quiet peaceful moments definitely balances me – and I’m hoping to find time again to make music.
What’s one piece of kit you could not live without?
I think it was a German fashion designer who once said – leggins are not the solution. For me leggins are the solution for everything.
What are your goals for the future?
Actually, I would like to have more time for myself. As recent years flew by I was swept away on an amazing path. I started my first studio and wrote a book. This was more than I ever hoped for and yet, now I have two studios and have written many more books. I found myself in front of the camera for interviews and shootings and for my own yoga videos. I started a new yoga trend, when I created Fascia Yoga and was invited to headline events. It becomes an every day reality and so sometimes I have to pinch myself, because I can’t quite believe all this has actually happened. The birth of my daughter has shone a new light on my life. She is the most wonderful thing that could ever have happened to me and I’ve come to realize, that spending time with her is what fulfills me most. So, my goal for the future is to have more time for myself and my daughter.
Who inspires you and why?
Definitely my mom. There is no better guru than her, because no matter which steps I took in life she always supported me. She has had a hard life and yet she always managed to stay positive and she taught me how to stand up for myself and get up after each fall.
And the second person is my husband, who always stays calm and treats everybody with loving kindness.
