What drives you?
Consciousness and Connection! Consciousness because if we are all aware of the decisions we make then we’d make better ones for each other and this planet. And connection because sharing this journey on Earth ultimately we are all inter-connected on this journey on Earth.
What's next in training?
I am currently studying to be an iRest® Meditation teacher which uses yoga nidra to treat trauma. And I’m also learning samba! Fingers crossed I make it to dance at Carnival in Rio in 2019!
What makes you happy?
Simple things make me happy such as sunshine, a cup of tea, my yoga practice, my dog, my friends, a good conversation, a good book that you can’t put down and laughter.
How do you create balance in your life?
Daily Meditation and yoga nidra practice. I wake up every day and do at least 20 minutes silent meditation, a walking meditation with my dog (I always leave my phone behind when I walk my dog), some stretching and when I feel like I need a boost of energy some yoga nidra!
What’s one piece of kit you could not live without?
I can’t decide between my yoga mat and black leggings… I take both everywhere with me!
What are your goals for the future?
Setting up more retreats to beautiful destinations around the world. Inspiring more people to take up a meditation practice. And growing HASIKO to be a worldwide platform for well-being.
Who inspires you and why?
I’m inspired by people who truly and honestly believe in making the world a better place, those who have been through great hardships in life but use that experience to stand for a cause, those who day in and day out make a difference to others.
