What drives you?
The power of training and nutrition to totally transform how we feel on a daily basis! You can’t beat the awesome feeling you get after a good workout or when your body is well nourished. It’s when I feel most alive and present. Being able to share that with people is pretty powerful!
What’s next in training?
I’m really excited to see the part technology can play in training and nutrition in the future. It has the potential to provide us with detailed and personalized information about where are bodies are at on a daily basis, allowing us to react and optimise accordingly. It’s understanding our bodies 2.0!
What makes you happy?
Food! All different kinds, cooking food, eating food and ideally sharing food with my friends, family and dog (when he’s good).
How do you create balance in your life?
Learning how to work with my body and not against it. This has not been easy but has made a huge difference to my approach to nutrition and training. I create balance by knowing where my strengths and weaknesses are and working to accommodate them, rather than forcing habits that don’t come so naturally. Journaling has really useful for this. Ultimately science and social media can only tell us so much, stepping back and getting to know your body better and doing what’s right for you is true balance.
What’s one piece of kit you could not live without?
I’d love to say something more specialized here but the reality is a good pair of tights! When I find a pair that stands the test of a good workout I virtually live in them inside and outside of the gym.
What are your goals for the future?
To continue developing as a trainer and nutritional therapist and building an online community that empowers as many people as possible to take a your-body your-way approach to food and exercise.
Who inspires you and why?
Anyone who isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo, try new things and carve out their own path to achieve their goals.
