What drives you? What does ‘making a difference’ mean to you?
To help improve public health, at all levels.
Tell us a story from your past that has really shaped you. What did you learn?
Food Pharmacy started after one of the hardest years in our lives, when three women in our absolute vicinity went away too young in cancer. It was the beginning of our journey with Food Pharmacy.
If you could travel back in time… what piece of advice would to give to yourself ten years ago?
To ignore what you look like and focus on how the food will make you feel instead.
What does your morning routine look like? How do you maintain balance in your life? What bio or life hack would you like to share with the world?
The first thing we do in the morning when we wake up is to meditate with a mantra for 20 minutes. Immediately after meditation, we set three intentions for the day or life. Then we have a cup of coffee. Our life hack may be that we are charging the coffee machine the night before.
When are you most happy? Where is your happy place?
In nature, by the sea. An early morning rush in saltwater strikes everything.
What’s your favorite type of training? Why is training important for you and your career?
We’ve tried many different forms of exercise but always returning to yoga. Exercise, heart rate, sweat and recovery is a prerequisite for our ability to keep the pace we hold on Food Pharmacy.
What’s next? What are your ambitions for the future?
To continue inspiring people to make more healthy choices in their life, to help reverse the low-rise increase in lifestyle-related illnesses as well as look more inward ourselves. You can drink how many cabbage moths, go 10 000 steps, eat your supplements and yoga every day, but if you do not look inward and are kind to yourself, you're still not healthy.
