What drives you? What does ‘making a difference’ mean to you?
What drives me is to have a clear goal and a vision, when I have that I run as fast as possible in order to make it.
Tell us a story from your past that has really shaped you. What did you learn?
Starting my company House of Dagmar at 21, the journey the company has taken me over the years has definitely shaped me a lot. I have also learned to listen to my own voice and not to what everyone else is saying to be strong in what you believe in. Usually the first thought is the best.
If you could travel back in time… what piece of advice would to give to yourself ten years ago?
To dare more and believe in yourself.
What does your morning routine look like?
Wake up at 6.30 on the days when I don´t have the time to go to the gym at lunch I try to do some exercises at home before the rest of the family wakes up around 7. Taking a shower and getting ready while the kids eat their breakfast and get dressed. Leaving the kids at school and kindergarden and drive off to work. I try to arrive no later than 8.30 at the office, but that does not always happen. I usually eat my breakfast at work in front of the computer.
How do you maintain balance in your life?
For me I feel the best when I have the time to exercise. Even if I can only do 30 min on the mat at home or if I have time do 1 hr at the gym. I´m a much nicer mother, wife and colleague if I manage my work out routine. I rarely eat lunch with friends during work days, then I prioritize my work out time.
What bio or life hack would you like to share with the world?
My mother always tells us that a nice walk outside makes everything better. I try to live a bit like that. When you are outside and breathe fresh air and get your body moving you always feel better and problems are usually easier solved afterwards.
When are you most happy?
When I´m with my family and just have a relaxed time, and when we have friends with their children over for dinner and everyone is just enjoying each other’s company.
Where is your happy place?
My happy place is our summer house on the Swedish west coast Fiskebäckskil or Marstrand. Beeing out with the boats sailing or relaxing on one of the small islands on the archipelago. I also love being in the mountains skiing, this is where I feel free and calm.
What’s your favorite type of training?
I love a combination of training, everything from Yoga to boxing, a run outside in the nature or going down the ski slopes. I recently took on tennis again which I also enjoy a lot.
Why is training important for you and your career?
It helps me to be focused and to be able to achieve more. I receive energy from my training and it enables me to do my job better.
What’s next? What are your ambitions for the future?
In regards to exercise I would love to have more time playing tennis, to have more time overall is something I would love to have. To spend more time with my children, my husband and my friends. Workwise we have an exciting time ahead with Dagmar which I´m looking forward to.
