Hi! My name is Miguel Barroso, I am a physical and personal trainer, sport coach and work with kinesiology and sports chiropractic. Do not abandon your dreams. No one should tell you what to do or not. Pursue your ideas and objectives. The different and innovating people are the ones that make the difference.

What drives you? 

The new projects. Meet new people, and learn something new every day. I do not like to feel stopped. I feel comfortable leaving the routine and facing new challenges.

What’s next in training? 

In the day to day, I usually practice indoor sports, because I do not have much free time and I have to combine it with work. Among them: Pilates, Running, Functional training.

On weekends, or when I have vacations, I prefer to do outdoor sports, such as Snowboarding, Climbing, Swimming, Basketball, etc. Although some of them depend on the season of the year.

What makes you happy?

When I look back and see that every year I have managed to achieve the goals set during the season. Those goals are the ones that make me feel complete, and the goals that have not been achieved are the ones that keep me growing.

On the other hand, I feel very grateful when I help someone achieve their goals. When you see the face of someone who has achieved goals, who has been trying for a long time without being able to reach them, and with your help they get them. Give me a very positive feedback.

How do you create balance in your life? 

Trying to divide the time I dedicate to work, hobbies, and family in equal parts. When I spend more time or involve some of it and abandon any other, I have to correct that lack of attention at that point.

What’s one piece of kit you could not live without?

The resistance band. From my point of view, it is a very versatile tool, easy to carry, and you can use it to exercise the whole body. You develop strength, flexibility and agility.

Undoubtedly, the best multidisciplinary tool I have found to perform my exercise.

What are your goals for the future? 

At a professional level, keep developing in the fitness sector. Finding new projects where I can be comfortable, where I can work with people, and be able to guide them from my experience, and on the other hand, learn from them.

On a personal level, keep growing, developing a positive mind. Surrounding myself with people who make each day something different and special.

Who inspires you and why?

There are many people that I have been lucky enough to learn many things. One of them is Michael Jordan. With 14 years, his coach of the basketball team of the institute told him that with 1.80 meters of height, he was very low for the team, it was not worth to play basketball. As of today, there is nobody who has not heard about it. He’s a legend.
