What does Forever Better mean to you?
Forever better fo me means to always improve your best. Constantly learning from each and everyone of your mistakes. Even though something went wrong or if a stupid decision was made you can always learn from it and use that experience to become better. I believe that everyone can improve their best and I’m certain that everyone can forever be better at what they do, their is no limits holding back. That’s the beauty, no one knows how far one can go.
How does your training routine look like?
During base training, I have between 7-9 training session per week and one rest day. The training sessions differs between intervals, distance running, strength training and some alternative training (i.e cross trainer, spinning and aqua running).
During race season, I've fewer training sessions but the intensity is much higher. Normally I also get more rest and recovery days and sessions with easy running.
What are your goals for the future?
My goal right now is to make it to the Olympics in Tokyo 2020. On the way I want to do some championships, U23 Europeans championship in Gävle 2019 and world championships in Doha 2019 etc.
What’s one piece of kit you could not live without?
I mostly need my running shoes and watch. I also use foam roller that I always bring with me at competitions.
Why is Rest and Recovery important to your performance?
Rest and recovery is one of the main keys to success, it is at least as important as the training itself. When you work out you break down and when you rest and recover you become stronger. That’s why it’s important for me with rest and recovery and to figure out how to optimize it between the training session to maximize performance.
