What does Forever Better mean to you?
For me, forever better stands for the constant hunt to become the very best version of myself. I compete against myself every day, trying to beat my own personal records in everything from sprint distances, to clean and squats, and of course in long/triple jump.
How does your training routine look like?
During my build up season I train 10-11 sessions a week:
3 running sessions. (1 short sprint, 1 long sprint, 1 hill session).
3 jump sessions. (1 vertical jumps, 1 horizontal jumps, 1 box jumps).
3 lifting sessions. (sessions with a mix of snatch, clean, squats, dead lifts and more).
2 core/prehab sessions (for example foot strength, core exercises, flexibility drills).
What are your goals for the future?
This Summers goals are to qualify for the European Championships, to win medals at the Swedish championship and to compete at Finnkampen, a national team competition between Sweden and Finland.
What’s one piece of kit you could not live without?
I use the mini resistance band a lot for foot strength which is very important as a jumper. Also, I use the mini bands for glutes exercises like monsters walk. Glute strength is essential to jumpers.
Why is Rest and Recovery important to your performance?
Rest and recovery is the key to be able to perform well at practice and at competitions. It prevents you from injuries and the body needs recovery to repair and strengthens itself between workouts and competitions.
